Levenshulme, or Levy as everyone calls it, is what Chorlton was fifteen years ago. Stockport Road is the main spine, running from Longsight down to Heaton Chapel, and it's where the neighbourhood's revival is most visible. Levenshulme Market runs every Saturday at the train station car park, 80-plus stalls of street food, crafts and vintage that's become a proper weekend destination. The Antiques Village on Stockport Road is a three-floor warren of dealers that draws collectors from across the country. Trove Bakery and Cafe is the stand-out independent, pastries and sourdough that sell out by noon. The Talleyrand pub on Albert Road does proper craft beer and vinyl nights. The Chai Stall on Stockport Road is an institution for Pakistani street food and strong milky tea.
