Need help now?

If you are in immediate danger from another person, call 999. If you cannot speak safely, stay on the line and listen - the operator will ask questions, and you can answer by coughing or tapping the phone. From a mobile, if you still cannot make a sound, an automated message may prompt you to press 55; press it only when you are prompted, and it tells police the call is genuine. Pressing 55 does not tell police where you are and does not on its own send anyone to you - stay on the line so the call handler can work out your location. Why we do not show "open now"

We have no live feed of NHS or pharmacy opening hours, so we do not print any. Guessing would send someone across the city to a locked door when they are ill. The NHS pharmacy and service finders do carry live hours - that is why every card sends you to them rather than to a copy we keep here.

Guides from MCR.CITY

Where this comes from

MCR.CITY is not a healthcare provider. We do not diagnose, we do not give medical advice and we do not treat anyone. This page is a directory that points at official and established services, and every card links to that service's own page so you are reading their words, not ours.

Entries are drawn from the NHS, NHS service finders, Manchester City Council, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester Local Care Organisation, Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, and established Greater Manchester charities. Every card names its source. Private providers are labelled Private - you pay wherever they appear.

The whole directory was last checked on 10 August 2026, and is due for its next check on 10 November 2026. Services change. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
