Best Photoshoot Locations in Manchester – The 2026 Guide

Manchester has become one of the UK’s most-shot cities for fashion editorial. The combination of Victorian mill backdrops, Brutalist civic architecture, viaducts, canal towpaths, the Salford waterfront and a strong studio scene has pulled productions north for years. The Boohoo and PrettyLittleThing studios alone generate hundreds of shoots a month. Here’s the proper guide to where shoots happen, what each location is good for, and what permits you need.

Studios

Studio 22 – Salford Quays

Manchester Photo Studio – Trafford Park

Mid-size commercial studio. Three studio spaces, full daylight option. £300-600 day rate.
