Oldham parkrun: Course Guide
Oldham parkrun brings together a loyal local crowd on mixed terrain that reflects the town itself - hilly, unpretentious and proud of it.

Oldham parkrun is held at Alexandra Park, a Victorian municipal park sitting above the town centre with views across Greater Manchester on a clear day. The course uses park paths and some grass sections, with Oldham’s characteristic hills meaning there are inclines to deal with on most laps. It is not a course you run for a personal best, but it is the kind of event where you come back for the atmosphere. The volunteer team and regular runners have built one of the tighter parkrun communities in the area.
Getting to Oldham by public transport has been transformed since the Metrolink network extended to the town. The Rochdale via Oldham line runs from Manchester Victoria and connects at Oldham King Street and Oldham Mumps stops, both within walking distance of Alexandra Park. Journey time from Victoria is around 30 minutes. There is also road access with parking near the park.
