Cheadle Cricket Club play in the Cheshire Cricket Alliance, a well-organised league that covers clubs from across Cheshire and the southern edges of Greater Manchester. The Alliance is a step up from the most local social cricket and provides structured Saturday competition through the season, with clubs from Sale and Altrincham through to mid-Cheshire competing each week. Cheadle’s position on the Stockport-Cheshire border puts the club naturally in this league rather than the Manchester city leagues, and the facilities at the ground in Cheadle reflect a club that has been sensibly managed over time.

The junior section at Cheadle is genuinely strong, running age-group cricket from under-9s through to youth level and providing a clear pathway for young players in the south Stockport and Cheadle area. Adult players can try out for the senior squads – multiple XIs mean the club can accommodate a range of abilities. The ground is accessible by Metrolink from Manchester, with Cheadle served by the Altrincham line. Pre-season practice runs from April and the best time to make contact about playing is late winter before the squads are finalised.
