Buile Hill parkrun: Course Guide
Buile Hill is Salford's hidden gem of a parkrun - a Victorian park with character, gentle terrain and easy access from Salford and west Manchester.

Buile Hill parkrun takes place in Buile Hill Park, a historic Victorian park in Pendleton, Salford, just north of the A57 between Salford and Eccles. The park has real character – it was originally the grounds of Buile Hill Hall, which housed Salford Mining Museum for decades, and the layout and planting still reflect its Victorian origins. The parkrun course winds through the park on a mix of tarmac paths and grass, with some gentle rises but nothing that will seriously test your lungs. It is a comfortable course that suits a range of abilities.
Buile Hill is accessible by bus from Salford city centre and from Manchester via routes serving the A57 corridor. Driving is also practical – there is a car park inside the park. The event draws runners from across Salford and west Manchester, and the post-run atmosphere in the park is relaxed. If you have only ever run in the city centre or south Manchester, Buile Hill is worth a visit for something a bit different. Register free at parkrun.org.uk before your first visit.
