About Tattu

Tattu is the place people photograph before they eat, and honestly, fair enough. The cherry blossom tree centrepiece, the dark moody lighting, the sleek design – it’s one of the most visually striking restaurants in Manchester. But beyond the aesthetics, the food holds up. Chinese-inspired sharing plates come out looking like art and tasting just as considered. The dim sum selection is strong, the crispy duck salad is a crowd favourite, and the black cod is outstanding.

It’s in Spinningfields, so the crowd tends towards the after-work drinks and date night set, and the cocktail menu leans into that with creative, well-balanced drinks. Prices reflect the location and the experience – this isn’t a cheap eat, but you’re paying for the whole package. Service is polished and the atmosphere buzzes from Thursday through to Sunday. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like an event rather than just a meal, Tattu delivers. Book ahead because weekends fill up fast and the terrace in summer is a proper scene.
