Wythenshawe parkrun: Course Guide
A flat, welcoming 5k in the green expanse of Wythenshawe Park, with a community farm and a cafe on site.

Wythenshawe parkrun runs every Saturday at 9am in Wythenshawe Park, the large green space in the south of the city. The course is flat and run on the park’s paths, making it accessible and beginner-friendly as well as a fair PB option, and the event has the warm, community feel that defines parkrun at its best – this is a course where first-timers and walkers are as much a part of the morning as the front-runners.
Wythenshawe Park has plenty of free parking, which makes it one of the easier events to drive to, and it is reachable by bus and within range of the Metrolink Airport line. The park itself is a destination: there is a community farm, a historic hall, sports pitches and a cafe for post-run refreshments, so it works well as a family morning. As with all parkruns it is free and weekly, organised entirely by volunteers – register once at parkrun.org.uk, save your barcode, and come down. New runners and volunteers are always welcome, and there is no time limit, so walkers are genuinely included.
