Abbey Hey FC: East Manchester’s Community Club

Founded in 1902 in Gorton, one of east Manchester’s most established working-class neighbourhoods, the club has continued at the lower end of the non-league pyramid without the profile of larger neighbours but with a genuine local identity that bigger clubs sometimes lose.
