VANILLA's Pride Friday Basement Takeover is your go-to celebration for LGBTQ+ nightlife in Manchester this August. Hosted on Friday 28th August 2026, this dedicated queer party kicks off at 10pm with an atmosphere that's all about inclusive dancing, brilliant DJs, and genuine community vibes. With tickets ranging from £5 to £22, it's an accessible night out that won't break the bank, and you'll be supporting a venue that genuinely champions LGBTQ+ events.
Area is perfectly positioned in Manchester city-centre, making it a natural hub for the Pride community. The basement space itself has serious credentials for hosting LGBTQ+ events, offering an intimate yet energetic setting that's ideal for getting properly lost in the music. The Lower Mosley Street location means you're surrounded by other bars and venues, so you can easily extend your night if the mood takes you.
Getting there is straightforward – it's a short walk from Piccadilly Gardens or grab the Metrolink to St Peter's Square. The 18+ age restriction keeps things properly adult-oriented, so expect a mature crowd who know how to enjoy themselves. Arrive early to avoid queues, wear whatever makes you feel confident, and come ready to dance with your people – this is Manchester Pride spirit done right, right in the heart of the city.Browse more Nightlife events in Manchester or explore city-centre.
