# Metal Oke at The Player, Manchester
If you're a metal fan with a sense of humour, Metal Oke is the Friday night out you've been waiting for. This is karaoke with attitude – think screaming your lungs out to Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Iron Maiden rather than warbling through pop ballads. It's the perfect blend of live music energy and participatory fun, guaranteed to get a crowd of like-minded metalheads cheering you on from 8pm onwards.
The Player is one of Manchester's best-loved independent venues, nestled in the heart of the city centre with a reputation for hosting creative, unconventional nights that you won't find anywhere else. The venue's intimate atmosphere and quality sound system make it ideal for both belting out metal classics and enjoying brilliant live performances between slots. It's the kind of place where the staff actually care about creating a proper community vibe.
Getting to The Player is straightforward – it's a short walk from Piccadilly Station or easily reached by tram. Wear something that makes you feel like a rock star, arrive early to secure a good spot on the setlist, and don't worry about nailing the performance – the Metal Oke crowd is all about having a laugh and celebrating metal together. It's 18+ only, so bring ID and get ready for one of Manchester's most entertaining nights out.Browse more Nightlife events in Manchester.
