# Khalid at Manchester Academy: Event Guide
American R&B sensation Khalid brings his "It's Always Summer Somewhere Tour" to Manchester Academy on Friday 16 October 2026, delivering a night of smooth vocals and feel-good vibes. Known for massive hits like "Location" and "Young, Wild & Free," the Dubai-born artist has cultivated a devoted fanbase across the UK, making this a must-see gig for lovers of contemporary R&B and pop. Expect an intimate yet energetic performance that'll have the crowd moving from start to finish.
Manchester Academy sits right on Oxford Road in the heart of the city's cultural quarter, surrounded by independent cafés, vintage shops, and other live music venues. This iconic 1,100-capacity venue has hosted countless major acts over the years and strikes the perfect balance between accessible and atmospheric—close enough to feel the artist's presence but with decent acoustics throughout. The area buzzes with pre-gig energy, so arrive early to soak in the Manchester nightlife.
Getting to the gig is straightforward: Oxford Road station is just a short walk away, with regular trains from across Greater Manchester and beyond. Doors open at 7pm, so give yourself time to grab a drink at the bar beforehand. The venue gets busy on Friday nights, so arriving an hour early will help you find your spot and settle in nicely.Browse more Music events in Manchester or explore Oxford Road.
