Donkey Fest is Manchester's must-attend music event this August, bringing together top talent for an afternoon of live performances that'll have you dancing till the evening sets in. Taking place on Saturday 22 August 2026 from 1pm, this 18+ festival offers brilliant entertainment and a proper buzz that Manchester's music scene is known for. At just £15 entry, it's cracking value for a full day out with quality live acts.
The venue at OL12 9TB sits in a fantastic part of Greater Manchester with easy access to facilities and plenty of character. This area's become a real hotspot for events, with great transport links and nearby spots to grab a bite or a drink before or after the festival. It's the kind of location that's helped Manchester build its reputation as a top music destination.
Getting there is straightforward – there's decent public transport access and parking nearby if you're driving in. Come early to soak up the atmosphere and grab a good spot, and bring some cash along with contactless for the bars and vendors. The weather in August should be decent, but chuck a light jacket in your bag just in case. It's a proper Manchester day out you won't want to miss.Browse more Music events in Manchester.
