Ben Ottewell, the distinctive voice behind alt-rock legends Gomez, brings his solo talents to Manchester on Thursday 3rd September 2026. This intimate Carlton Club gig offers fans a chance to experience the Stockport-born musician up close, delivering the kind of stripped-back performance that showcases why Gomez became one of the UK's most respected bands. At just £25, it's an affordable night out for anyone who appreciates genuine alternative rock credentials.
The Carlton Club sits right in the heart of Manchester's Deansgate action, a legendary venue that's hosted countless memorable gigs over the years. This independent space has that authentic Manchester character – no corporate blandness here – making it the perfect setting for an artist of Ottewell's calibre. The intimate atmosphere means you'll actually feel connected to the performance rather than watching from the back of a massive arena.
Doors open at 7pm, so arrive early to grab a decent spot and soak in the pre-show buzz around Deansgate. The 14+ age restriction means younger music fans can attend, though you'll want to check specific entry requirements closer to the date. Expect a setlist mixing Gomez classics with solo material – bring your mates, settle in, and prepare for one of those gigs you'll still be talking about months later.Browse more Music events in Manchester or explore Deansgate.
