# Back To The 90s – Summer Outdoor Festival, Manchester
If you're after a proper nostalgia hit this summer, Back To The 90s at Freight Island is the Manchester event you won't want to miss. This outdoor festival on Saturday 29 August celebrates the best of 90s music with live performances that'll have you reminiscing about the decade that gave us Britpop, grunge, and rave culture. Whether you're after indie bangers or dance floor fillers, this is your chance to relive the golden era with thousands of fellow 90s enthusiasts – tickets range from £32 to £44 depending on the tier you choose.
Freight Island is one of Manchester's most exciting city-centre venues, housed in a converted Victorian railway goods warehouse in Deansgate. The sprawling outdoor space has quickly become a go-to spot for summer festivals and gigs, offering brilliant acoustics and proper Manchester character. The industrial backdrop creates an authentic vibe that's perfect for a celebration of 90s culture.
The festival kicks off at 3pm, so plan to arrive early to grab food and drinks from the vendors on-site. It's an 18+ event, so bring your ID along. Getting there is straightforward – Freight Island is right in the city centre, minutes from Deansgate-Chester Road tram stop and easily accessible by bus.
