# The Hands of Orlac – Film with Live Music
Experience a truly unique evening on Halloween weekend when Stoller Hall screens the classic silent film *The Hands of Orlac* accompanied by live music on Saturday 31 October 2026. This cult masterpiece, featuring the iconic Peter Lorre, tells a gripping tale of psychological horror that's genuinely unsettling—and seeing it with a live orchestra elevates the entire experience into something properly special. At just £12, it's fantastic value for such an atmospheric night out in Manchester.
Stoller Hall sits in the heart of Castlefield, Manchester's historic quarter where Victorian mills and viaducts create an appropriately gothic backdrop for this event. The venue itself is a converted warehouse with real character, hosting everything from classical concerts to experimental theatre, making it the perfect spot for this ambitious film and music collaboration.
The screening kicks off at 7:30pm, so arrive early to soak up the Castlefield atmosphere and grab a drink beforehand—local bars and cafes are dotted throughout the area. Dress up if you fancy it; Halloween spirit is encouraged, and the combination of live music, vintage cinema, and period costume creates genuinely immersive entertainment. This is exactly the kind of cultural event that makes Manchester's arts scene worth shouting about.Browse more Culture events in Manchester or explore Castlefield.
