Richard Spaven brings his innovative electronic music and live drumming prowess to Manchester on Thursday 17 September 2026 at Band On The Wall. The British musician and producer is renowned for blending jazz-influenced rhythms with electronic production, creating something genuinely fresh that appeals to serious music enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike. This is a proper gig for anyone seeking intelligent, contemporary sounds in an intimate setting.
Band On The Wall sits in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter, one of the city's most vibrant neighbourhoods packed with independent bars, vintage shops, and street art. The venue itself is a legendary independent space that's been championing innovative live music since the 1980s, and it's got that authentic Manchester character that chain venues simply can't replicate. The room's got brilliant acoustics and a real sense of community around it.
The show kicks off at 19:30, so heading down early gives you time to explore the Northern Quarter's brilliant food and drink scene beforehand. Expect an engaged crowd of music lovers rather than a party vibe—bring your listening ears. Get your tickets sorted in advance as Spaven's shows tend to draw a dedicated following, and arriving early means you can grab a decent spot and soak in the atmosphere.Browse more Music events in Manchester or explore Northern Quarter.
