# Archive Badge Club – Local Press Club
The Archive Badge Club is a brilliant night celebrating Manchester's independent press and local media scene, perfect for journalists, creatives, and anyone curious about grassroots storytelling. Hosted at Altogether Otherwise in the Northern Quarter, this Thursday 20 August event kicks off at 7pm and offers a proper chance to connect with the folks keeping Manchester's alternative media alive. Whether you're into zines, podcasts, or independent publications, this is where you'll find like-minded people championing local voices.
Altogether Otherwise is one of the Northern Quarter's best-kept secrets, a creative hub and community space that's become a proper focal point for cultural events and underground movements. The venue's industrial-meets-bohemian vibe perfectly suits an event celebrating independent media, and you'll find the atmosphere encourages genuine conversation and creative exchange. It's exactly the kind of intimate Manchester venue where you'll actually connect with people rather than just stand around.
Getting there is straightforward – the Northern Quarter is well-connected by tram and bus, and there's plenty of street parking nearby. Turn up ready to chat, bring some curiosity about local media, and expect a relaxed evening mixing conversations with actual journalists and creators. If you care about Manchester's independent culture and want to support local media voices, this is genuinely worth your Thursday night.Browse more Culture events in Manchester or explore Northern Quarter.
