Afflecks Palace

Long-running indoor market of independent fashion stalls in the Northern Quarter.

Afflecks Palace

Afflecks Palace occupies a converted building on Oldham Street where independent traders rent small stalls. Each vendor curates their own stock, creating a diverse range of new, vintage and specialist fashion pieces under one roof. You might find anything from band t-shirts to custom jewellery to contemporary menswear between different levels.

The market operates as a semi-cooperative where individual stall holders maintain control over their own merchandise. This means the stock rotates constantly and no two visits feel identical. Regular traders include vintage dealers, designers, and makers who use the space to test ideas directly with customers.

Afflecks has survived decades of retail change by operating outside the high-street model. The affordability of individual stall rental keeps barriers low for emerging traders and established vendors alike. The building itself has become part of Manchester's Northern Quarter identity.
