Co-op Live

About Co-op Live

Co-op Live opened in April 2024 and immediately became the largest indoor arena in the UK. 23,500 capacity. Harry Styles is an investor, which tells you where they’re pitching this — premium, modern, loud.

The building cost over £365 million and it shows. The acoustics are genuinely good for an arena this size. Steep rake on the seating means decent sightlines even up in the gods. The concourse is wide, the food options are a step above the usual arena slop, and there are actual craft beer taps. Corporate, yes, but done properly.

It sits on the Etihad Campus out in Eastlands, right next to the football stadium. Getting there means the 216 bus from Piccadilly, the tram to the Etihad stop, or a 25-minute walk from the city centre that feels longer on a wet Tuesday in November. Driving is possible but parking is a fight after every event.

The opening months were rough — cancelled shows, technical problems, bad press. Most of that’s been ironed out now. The venue has pulled major tours that would have gone to the AO Arena, and the AO has had to respond by dropping prices.

If you’re seeing a stadium-level act in Manchester, this is probably where they’ll be.
