Deansgate

Manchester's original main drag, running from the Town Hall down to Castlefield.

Deansgate

Deansgate is less a pocket than a long city spine, tying civic Manchester to shops, bars, libraries and the railway arches near Castlefield. It is one of the easiest places to use as a first walk through town.

Start by Albert Square or John Rylands Library, then follow the street south for food, drinks and railway history. It is practical, central and full of quick turns into other parts of the city.
