About The Ivy

The Ivy in Spinningfields is exactly what you’d expect from a London brasserie transplant – polished, reliable, and unapologetically mainstream. It sits on The Avenue with floor-to-ceiling windows that make it prime people-watching territory, which is half the point. The interior is all stained glass, art deco touches, and botanical prints. It’s attractive and it knows it. The crowd is a mix of business lunches, shopping trips, and couples who want somewhere that feels like an occasion without the Michelin price tag.

The menu is massive and covers basically everything. Shepherd’s pie is a genuine highlight – rich, properly seasoned, comfort food done well. The Asian-inspired dishes land better than you’d expect from a brasserie. Burgers are solid. Brunch is popular and the eggs Benedict is well executed. Nothing on the menu is going to change your life, but nothing is going to disappoint you either. That’s the deal with The Ivy – consistent, safe, and a cut above the average chain.

Price and Booking

Mains run from sixteen to thirty quid. Cocktails around twelve. Book ahead for weekends and definitely for brunch. The terrace in summer is worth requesting.
