Hidden does exactly what the name suggests – it’s tucked away on Mary Street near the Irwell and unless you know it’s there, you’ll walk straight past. Inside is a raw industrial space that’s been purpose-built for electronic music. No frills, no fancy decor, just concrete, steel, and one of the best sound systems in Manchester. The people behind it take the audio seriously and you can hear that from the moment you walk in.

The programming is focused. This is a club for people who love electronic music – techno, house, electro, the occasional leftfield curveball. They bring through serious DJs from across Europe alongside Manchester’s own residents. The crowd knows this and comes prepared. You won’t find hen parties or people checking their phones on the dancefloor. Everyone is there for the music.

The space can be configured differently depending on the night. Sometimes it’s one big room, sometimes they section it off. There’s an outdoor area that’s a lifesaver when you need air.
