Food is minimal, focused on snacks that work with drinks rather than a full kitchen operation. Chorlton’s independent bar scene is one of the stronger ones in Greater Manchester, and the Jam Jar fits within it well – a bar with a point of view rather than a generic offering. Worth visiting if you’re in the area, or worth making the trip to if you’re based elsewhere and want an evening out of the city centre.
