Projekt

Projekt isn’t a single venue – it’s a club night brand that runs events across multiple spaces in Manchester. House, techno, and electronic music in various formats, from intimate warehouse-style nights to bigger productions. They’ve been running since 2009, which in Manchester clubbing terms means they’ve outlasted hundreds of competitors.

The music policy is straightforward. House and techno, leaning towards the melodic and progressive end. They book a mix of international DJs and local residents. The residents are good – they wouldn’t have lasted this long otherwise. Production values are high for a club night – proper sound systems, decent lighting, the details that separate a good night from a great one.

Events pop up at different venues around the city centre, so check listings before heading out. Capacity varies depending on the venue – some nights are a few hundred, others push into the thousands for special events. Ticket prices are usually ten to twenty quid, which is fair for the quality of the lineups.

The crowd skews mid-twenties to mid-thirties. People who actually like electronic music rather than people looking for a night out with chart music. Dress code is relaxed – trainers, t-shirts, whatever you’re comfortable dancing in.

If you’re into house and techno in Manchester, you’ll end up at a Projekt night eventually. Check their socials for upcoming events and venues.
